Embracing Your Sexuality - Part Deux

Christina

“So what’s one of your fantasies?”, she asked us.

It’s not a question you’d normally expect people to readily answer. Yet, here I was with my girlfriend Danielle and my friend Rob, at Reflections Yoga, a private studio in a midtown high rise in New York… discussing sexual fantasies. But what was even more extraordinary was that we were surrounded by 30 men and women sitting in a roundtable –each one of them competing to share what they had just wrote down.

This was a OneTaste workshop and Christina Berkley was the MC. She had just posed the ultimate taboo question, then looked around the room and smiled.

She was in complete control.

A man started first, “I’d like to take Stacy here by the back of the head and pull her into a deep, deep, longing kiss.” People laughed because they were both strangers. But maybe not for very long.

She called on a girl sitting next to her.

“I’ve dreamed about being taken by a complete stranger and… “ she began. It was the same stuff I once read about in the bible for women’s sexual fantasies - My Secret Garden – but here I was hearing it in real life.

It simply amazed me.

Just one hour before, these same people were riding the elevator up without making eye contact or exchanging a word. But Christina effortlessly took our group on a mental ride that more and more, pulled us into an interactive conversation from the simple idea of defining sex and sensuality… to feeling like having eye-intercourse with anyone in the room that was of the opposite sex.

Not bad for a $10 meeting.

10 o’ clock struck and the roundtable wrapped up. Everyone piled into the adjacent room to chat and snack. And we all had a list of 10 new ways we had personalized to get more comfortable with being more free with… well, you know.

As we left the elevator and walked out the building, I turned to Rob and remarked, “whatever they’re paying her, it’s not enough.”

He agreed.

Releasing Inner Kaleidoscopes

I heard about OneTaste through a friend of mine, Melanie in 2009. Nicole Daedone was in town and she was very insistent that if I was serious about seeing the real deal, I had to go.

We always had very open discussions about dating and relationships and both avid students on the topic. Back then I was already knee-deep into exploring the deeper mechanics of dating for women and Mel was my go-to girl, an expert in her own right.

Christina Berkley’s mentor was Nicole. And Nicole’s mentor was Morehouse and Vetterlein, founders of the Doing Method. The idea was to bring the science of female pleasure to men and women everywhere, and to  show them what women’s true capacity for pleasure really looks like.

The way women learn to suppress their mind and body sensuality = the same way they can learn to release it.

Translation: it’s a skill set – just like anything else.

Christina has a background in microbiology and immunology so the aspect of physiological mechanics is not lost on her. And while OneTaste was the cause of her transformation, Christina’s interests include anything from tech to hypnosis to tango.

In short, in her relentless pursuit to unleash a woman’s inner kaleidoscope – as well as her own - she never stopped learning, never stopped exploring.

So, not satisfied with being limited to one methodology, she eventually left OneTaste after 5 years to start YouAreBeautiful.Us.

Since then, she’s incorporated a universe of methods and disciplines into her teachings. But as you might realize by now, Christina’s not a list of accolades.

She’s an experience.

Now… the question you might want to ask yourself is this: what does tango, erotic hypnosis and the porn star Sasha Gray have to do with her May 19 workshop?

Everything.

Stay tuned for Embracing Your Sexuality – Part 3.

Eye Gazing Party Tue, 15 November 2011, admin

FYI: A great friend and past speaker at Vibe Society, Christina Berkley, is holding an event we'd like to share with you.

In the meantime, VS will be back shortly. We are currently working on more events and fresh, powerful content. The wait will be worth it....

+++++++

EYE GAZING PARTY

Asking her where she's from does NOT create attraction. Telling him you're a paralegal does NOT make him want you right then and there. Eye contact DOES. At this event, an even number of singles will meet in an attractive space. After a fun mini-lesson in the art and psychology of eye contact, the group will split into pairs, each of whom will spend up to two minutes looking into each other’s eyes. There is no talking, no shuffling, no nothing but space and heat and electricity. Pairs will switch every one to two minutes, for a total of around half an hour. Afterwards there will be a few games followed by music and mingling. Two minutes of eye contact is the Cadillac of ice-breakers. Come break the ice at Reflections After Dark.

Date: Tuesday, November 15th

Time: 8pm-10pm

Cost: $15

Pre-registration is necessary as we try to keep the event as gender balanced as possible. If you would like to come, please contact Christina at christinareflections@gmail.com

Check it out in Time Out Magazine!!

What up mah peeps,

Always enjoy giving a shout out to one of our favorite NYC guests when they are in town. This next week, Jeff Allen (aka Jlaix, aka Jeffy) from Real Social Dynamics is BACK.

They never fail, never disappoint and always deliver... not to mention, the infield video is one of the best ways (besides actually being infield with them) to absorb and get the right "feel" on how it's all supposed to go down... beginning to end.

Not to mention...it's freakin funny.

And not to mention... it's always highly inspiring.

Not to mention...again, it's free. Therefore, more awesome :-)

All RSVP Instructions can be found here: http://vibesociety.com/jeffynyc
